Hello, Wildcats!

Time is flying fast this semester and we are almost in May already! While in less than two months we will be enjoying summer, West LA College and ASO have prepared a lot of events for all of you until there.


Vote in the ASO GC Elections!


You have until April 30th to vote for your next ASO President and Vice President who will represent the student body at West LA College in the next academic year of 2021-2022. If you are interested in getting to know the candidates before voting, they have introduced themselves and you can find it here.

You can vote via your Student Portal. When you log in, there’s a link that you will take to the voting page.





Racial Equity Conversation with Dr. Frank Harris III

Thursday, April 29th, 2021. 3 PM – 4 PM.

From the flyer: “Dr. Harris is best known for his expertise in racial [in]equity in community colleges and has made important contributions to knowledge about college student development and the social construction of gender and race in college contexts. His work prioritizes populations that have been historically underrepresented and underserved in education”


Suicide Prevention – 2 Part Training

Thursday, May 6th & 13th, 2021. 4:15 PM – 5:15 PM

From the flyer: “This short presentation provides an overview to suicide prevention. Participants learn about the nature of suicide, suicide-related statistics, suicide risk factors and warning signs.”


Food Pantry Pop-Up: April 30th, May 7th and 21st , 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM


From the flyer: “Groceries are FIRST come, FIRST served, while supplies last. To show our gratitude for our students, WLAC may provide extra items at upcoming distributions including: fresh produce, wardrobe and other pantry essentials. Check the website for more info. Please bring your Student ID or any other proof of being a WLAC student. Social Distancing & Mask are REQUIRED”

Mind Matters Meditation Sessions – Every Monday and Friday at 6 PM.



Description: “During these challenging times, having the ability to cultivate mental and emotional well-being becomes even more important. Fortunately, the secret to this is right underneath our nose. The breath! Come join students at West LA College for a short online workshop where you'll learn some new breathing techniques and get to EXPERIENCE the strength, joy and peace, that we all could use right now.



Every Monday at 12 PM – 1 PM.
